Snowblower Normand -
HD and HDX Commercial Series
Reinforced Design for
Intensive Snow Removal
The chains operate in an oil bath, ensuring continuous lubrication and reduced wear. Oversized bearings and auger shafts, combined with industrial-grade eccentric chain tensioners, contribute to a more stable and durable power transmission.
This design minimizes unexpected downtime, minimizes maintenance, and allows for sustained productivity throughout the winter season.
450 Steel: Durability and Wear Resistance
HD and HDX models incorporate components made from 450 steel, known for its high resistance to abrasion. Depending on the model, 450 steel is used for the housing sides, fan, drum perimeter, oil bath, auger teeth, and side cutters.
Improved wear resistance extends the lifespan of the snowblower and ensures consistent performance—even when handling heavy, compact, or abrasive snow conditions.
Key Differences Between
HD and HDX Models
The HDX Series goes further with double ribbon augers (25” or 30” diameter depending on the model), equipped with 450 steel teeth, #80 or #100 chains in an oil bath, standard side cutters, integrated anti-throw deflectors, and double-sprocket chain tensioners on certain models.
HDX models are designed for environments where cutting capacity, operator protection, and maximum durability are top priorities.
